Job Description
Amazon internships are full-time onsite positions. Interns are required to work onsite Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week for 12 consecutive weeks (regular working hours are typically 8am-5pm).
As a Data Center Operational Security Specialist Intern, you will be responsible for driving operational security excellence within our Data Centers. Your tasks include writing reports, creating presentations, and communicating with management on the status of physical security operations. This 12-week internship program will be conducted at our London Data Centers. Are you ready to embrace the challenge? Come build the future with us.
Basic Qualifications
Be 18 years of age or older
Commit to working a minimum of 40 hours per week and a maximum of 12 weeks for the internship
Be enrolled in an academic program physically located in the United States
Possess a valid and active driver’s license
Currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree or higher in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Security, or other equivalent discipline, with an expected conferral date between December 2026 – September 2027
Preferred Qualifications
Have knowledge of access control and video surveillance software applications (e.g., LENEL or C-cure)
Demonstrate interest in investigating accidents, thefts, disturbances, and discrepancies
Show desire to work in a facility to identify security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedures, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points
Possess the ability to write detailed reports
